The Summer Reading Challenge launches on Saturday 8th July – and The Reading Agency recently came to Parliament to promote it to MPs.
- 91% of public libraries are taking part
- Children set their reading goal, then read to collect special stickers, certificate and medal rewards.
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge has a sport and games theme – plus they’re teaming up with Nike and Rebel Girls to gift 500,000 books to children. A great theme for a summer where we’ll cheer on the Lionesses in the FIFA Women's World Cup!
