Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP visited Grange View C of E First School in Widdrington a few weeks ago, at the invitation of the school. She was taken on a tour of the indoor and outdoor facilities, talked to pupils and staff and found out more about their community focus.
Speaking of the visit, Anne-Marie said:
"What a wonderful visit to Grange View I had the week before last! The pupils were a real credit to their school and their community, and I loved their "Think Local Think Global" slogan.
"I went on a tour of the school, and was especially impressed by the new "hobbit hut" and the incredible outdoor learning facilties including the bird watching area, pond and weekly forest school sessions.
"I was also taken by the huge emphasis on reading at the school, who were hosing their book fair when I visited."
