A1 dualling works - sneak peek!

In a few weeks, I have a formal site visit with Highways England to inspect the initial works on the mammoth Dual the A1 project which has formed the cornerstone of my campaigning locally for many years.

I pledged to get funding to start dualling the A1 through North Northumberland – and now I have delivered. I had already secured funding of £293 million and the preparatory works had been completed, and now the Secretary of State for Transport has approved the final Development Consent Order.
