The Government has appointed Sir Peter Hendy CBE to examine transport connectivity between the four nations of the United Kingdom. Sir Peter will be examining how transport links might need to change, how they affect productivity and prosperity and how reliable they are.
Anne-Marie and her colleague over the border, John Lamont MP are both submitting formal responses to the consultation, but are encouraging anyone with an interest in the topic to take part. The review is especially interested to hear from local people, groups and businesses about how cross-border transport links could improve growth, investment, service provision and environmental considerations.
The deadline for submissions is 30th December, and all details, including the suggested questions and how to submit your thoughts can be found HERE.
An interim report due in January 2021, ahead of a final report and recommendations being published in the summer of 2021.
