Anne-Marie Trevelyan, MP for Berwick-upon-Tweed, visited Ellington Junior Football Club on Friday to view the new Club Pavilion. She was given a tour of the new facilities, including changing and shower rooms, offices and a recreational area and kitchen. Anne-Marie also met with Chairman of the Club Ray Dunn, Secretary Sarah Gair and Nathan Rogerson, Managing Director of Sports Management Solutions, who discussed their plans for the new building and how the Club and wider community will benefit.
The Football Club is very grateful for the support it has received from local donors as well as local building firm Mimarc Construction Ltd, who built the Pavilion.
Anne-Marie said ‘I am thrilled that this project for the Junior Football Teams and the wider Ellington community is almost complete. The facilities are amazing and will be a great community asset for years to come and I see it becoming the hub of community life in the village. This is a shining example how with commitment and local support a dream can become a reality. Ellington is truly gifted with some remarkably dedicated and warm hearted people, well done.’
