Dear Anne-Marie Trevelyan
Thank you for getting involved in our Twitter day of action last week to demonstrate your support for the people affected by cancer in your constituency. With the number of people living with cancer set to increase from 2.5m today to 4m in 2030, it is imperative that the next Parliament recognises the urgency of improving cancer care across the UK.
It’s great to see your support for Macmillan. As a reminder, our cross-party priorities for cancer care call on the next Government to commit:
1. To deliver cancer outcomes that match the best in Europe by the end of the next Parliament.
2. To ensure that all patients, including cancer patients, are treated with the highest levels of dignity and respect and NHS staff should be supported to deliver this ambition.
3. To ensure that everyone at the end of life is given free social care to support them to spend their final weeks and days in the place of their choosing.
If you would like to find out any more information about our campaign you can access our website here.
We would like to wish you good luck for 7 May, and look forward to working with you in the future,
Kind regards,
Macmillan Cancer Support
