Anne-Marie Trevelyan, MP for Berwick-upon-Tweed, was delighted to meet constituents in Westminster as part of the huge climate change rally in Parliament, The Time is Now. She met constituents who had made the long journey down to London from Wallington, the Farne Islands and Belsay. They met in the sunshine outside Parliament and discussed issues surrounding climate change such as the Environment Bill, forestry, wildlife management and, of course, puffins.
Anne-Marie said “This was a great opportunity to hear from those working amongst our wildlife about how we must all make the changes needed to move towards a carbon neutral society. The passion there is in our area is wonderful and it is clear that The Time Is Now to make a difference.”
