The Prime Minister, David Cameron came to Alnwick today to support Anne-Marie Trevelyan's campaign.
David Cameron visited R Turnbull and Sons and Carlo's fish and chip shop during a walkabout in Alnwick town centre where he happily posed for "selfies" and spoke to local residents. He also purchased a pound of Northumberland sausages. On the election fight in Berwick he said; "This is one of our key seats Anne-Marie Trevelyan works very hard and I am convinced that she is a a first class candidate who would do very well in parliament".
Anne-Marie Trevelyan said; "It was a pleasure to have the Prime Minister in Alnwick visiting some of our award-winning traders who, I am sure, would have been encouraged by the comments he made in support of small businesses and in relation to business rates in town centres".
