Anne-Marie Trevelyan, MP for Berwick-upon-Tweed, went on one of her regular visits to Berwick’s JobCentre Plus on Friday to welcome the new centre manager Jan Leifer.
The MP, who last visited the Centre before covid struck, was keen to know how national employment trends are reflected locally.
Speaking of the visit Anne-Marie said: “It was great to meet Jan the new manager, and speak to her and the team about the post-covid recovery in the jobs market. It was especially useful to find out more about the role of local Work Coaches who really go above and beyond to match clients with suitable roles.
“As is the case across the country, in Berwick there are more vacancies than job seekers, so if you are seeking a role, do consider talking to one of the highly-knowledgeable team who can match you with a role suited to your needs!"
