Anne-Marie recently had the opportunity to call in the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust HQ (Northumbria House) to thank the administrative staff for their support during the pandemic.
She also caught up with Chief Executive Sir James Mackey and Comms Director Claire Riley, who took her on a tour of the various departments so she could chat with and thank staff across the building.
Anne-Marie was able to chat with managers and representatives from all departments based at Northumbria House.
She said: "I was really pleased to have the chance to thank those staff at HQ who don't work on the frontline, but are nevertheless critical to the running of our NHS services. Their hard work has been critical to the pandemic response, and to the work being done now to clear the backlog of patients waiting to be seen- which is much lower here than in other parts of the country."
A few local NHS news items to be aware of:
- Alnwick Minor Injuries Unit at Alnwick Infirmary is temporarily closed until 6 April as a result of staff absence (covid) meaning staffing levels had become unsafe. I will keep everyone informed if that date changes.
- General visiting restrictions across Northumberland and North Tyneside have eased slightly - you will still need to book in advance and wear a face covering, but you can find more information HERE.
