Anne-Marie was invited to be the guest speaker at a small business and charities workshop hosted by Lloyds Banking Group at Alnwick Gardens last week.
The event, titled Small Business and Charities Digital Know How Workshop, drew together small firms and voluntary groups from across the county with the aim of linking them in with advice on how to expand their digital, internet and social media skills to reach wider audiences and further their aims online.
150 representatives from local groups attended the event in the pavilion at Alnwick Gardens.
Anne-Marie said: “I was delighted to address such an enthusiastic audience on the importance of increasing their digital skills to increase their reach and improve the customer experience. As technology changes, our way of buying and selling, and engaging with charities also changes, and it is especially important that small businesses and voluntary groups can keep pace with that change in order to make it work for them. Now we are getting more and more areas connected to superfast broadband, the opportunities are really opening up, especially in rural areas across Northumberland.”
