Anne-Marie Trevelyan, MP for Berwick-upon-Tweed, attended an Agricultural Roundtable Lunch hosted by Barclays Bank at the Barn at Beal on Friday. She was met by John Pinches, Barclays Regional Agricultural Director, who explained how Barclays are supporting the farming industry and to take questions from the guests who were rightly concerned about the farming industry in the light of Brexit.
Anne-Marie said “It is really useful for me to hear the concerns that farmers have about the way forward with Brexit whether it be from a livestock or arable point of view. I am conscious that my constituency is very rural and their concerns are very real which sometimes gets lost in the fog of the manufacturing arguments, but I want to assure all farmers that I will ensure that their voices are heard in the weeks and months ahead so that no one is left out of the debate”.
