Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP visited Marlish Water last week as part of her constituency tour. Whilst the company - based near Hartburn - is a small-scale producer, it has already won awards for its water and soft drinks, which are gaining popularity. The water gains its purity from being strained through the Northumberland hills, and the unique taste and branding has increased demand for the product.
Anne-Marie viewed the production area before chatting to aunt and nephew team Joe and Elizabeth about their plans to expand the business in order to keep pace with the demand. She said: “It is always such a pleasure to visit a thriving and growing local business. I am delighted Marlish Water are planning to expand, thanks to the popularity of our Northumberland produce.”
