On World Autism Awareness Day last week, it was a delight to join the National Autistic Society's North Northumberland branch on their 'See Me Shine' sunset family walk, celebrating the positivity of neurodiversity and the amazing and varied skills of individuals in our community touched by it.
From 'The Bear' down to the specially lit up Berwick bridge, turnout was fantastic and it was great to chat to so many committee members too. The branch hosts monthly support meetings (plus other autism friendly events) for parents and carers of children and adults with autism at Chatton Village Hall.
